REST retirement
Interactive gRPC explorer
Use grpcui -plaintext localhost:25002 for local WorkManager, or port-forward
the cluster service's gRPC port to a local port. The shared launcher is
bash common/scripts/run_grpcui_local.sh localhost:25002.
Keep its UI loopback-only; reflection and RPCs use the target's access policy.
Use grpcurl for CLI discovery and generated protobuf/SDK docs for static
reference. Do not use the HTTP health port as the grpcui target.
Business REST support is removed in WorkManager 0.20.0. Worker CRUD, code loading, start/stop and tags remain available over native gRPC, either through the WorkManager client or through the API gateway's gRPC invocation methods.
/v1/workers*, other proto-annotated business HTTP routes, /docs/v1, and
/openapi/v1.json are no longer served. There is no replacement REST endpoint.
Use generated gRPC SDKs and gRPC reflection for discovery.
HTTP /health, /healthz, /ready, gRPC health, Dapr actor transport and
gRPC reflection remain. Keep the HTTP health port and Kubernetes probes.
Historical google.api.http annotations no longer register REST routes.
Earlier REST examples describe prior releases. Worker execution and outbound
connections are unaffected by retiring the control protocol.
